We are one of the countries left in the worl wich has no president - but a king, queen and their children. Yesterday the princess that are to recive the crown turned 30.. And that had me thinking. At the age of 30, isnt it fair that her dad then step down and let her take over , or shoudl she have to wait until he is dead and she is about 55? I do belive that she will make a better face out than the king does, mostly because she is young, sweet and very intellegent. Here we do have parties that de cide everything though, that we vote for every 4 years. They are the ones deciding all about sweden - not the king.. isn´+t that strange.. Hmm, no idea where this discussion came from but there u go *lol*

Hmmm...sounds just like the situation in Great Britain to me...LOL. I haven't seen anything in our newspapers here about the royal family in Sweden, but we sure do get a lot of information about the royal family in Great Britain, sometimes too much. At age 30, I would hope that the princess would be able to take over, rather than at age 55 or even older. But, just like Prince Charles, she may never get to have that chance. Look how old he is...LOL.

hehe, yeah I guess so. I gues sthe reason we do not hear much about the swedish royal family is because they are not involved in that many scandals *lol*

1. Wow that is so strange and I didn't know that...you have a King, but a party makes the decisions. So what is the role of the royal family then, as it pertains to all of Sweden?

haha, I do not really know what his role is, except costing ALOT of money.. I guess he is a face to the outside and that they do alot of charity, but thats about it i´d say!
