How is your house decorated  

I wish we could decorate more in our house, we live in base housing and we cannot paint.. We do have something hanging on the walls and the living room is more country, our kitchen is mostly Marine LOL.. my kids rooms my daughter has a bratz, princess theme, and my sons room is sports

I moved about 4 or 5 months ago and because money is thin, I still haven't done all that I want to with my apartment. But my living room is taking shape. Don't laugh (OK, you can laugh), but I got the idea from the Golden Girls. So I got a bamboo rug, and I have a mirror hanging that is encrusted with seashells all the way around. I also have a flamingo lamp! I have real legit lamps too, but people love that one. In my bedroom it is more about creating a space with peace. The bedspread has some geometric prints, and I took a cue from the colors of it: a medium hue of blue and also brown.

Not very well. I am not good with matching things and colors and at the moment all I see is too much dark brown?!? All our walls are off white (except our bedroom and my sons room which is painted a different kind of brownie green, and my sons room is yellow - all done by our landlord).

We do have some nice African prints on our walls and because most of our furniture is second hand, nothing really matches. But that's ok, I am happy that we have furniture LOL It would be nice to have everything match and coordinated though.

One day when we own our own home, that would be the time I hope!

My home has the country look to it. We have solid Oak floors all throughout our home. I collect cast iron and decorate the kitchen with it as well as a photo of Jesus.

In the living room I used denim to make my furniture covers and my walls are decorated with photos of our family and a painting by my favorite artist, Greg Olsen as well as a painting of the Washington DC Temple

I think one walking into my apartment would definitely notice I like color :-)
The bathroom is a pale lavendar with aqua trim so it doesn't look too monochromatic...the kitchen is a bright sunny yellow ...the hallway and living room are painted with white paint on opposite walls then aqua on the other walls..on the walls of the living room I have some of my artwork and photos hanging up, and posters of Lord Of the Rings, and Chronicles of Narnia...the posters are hanging right above where my Computer Desk it....ah, it's the bedroom that is the most colorful though and decorative...on opposite walls are a beautiful shade of deep turquoise blue and the other walls are a deeper shade of lavender...both colors I mixed myself..the windowsill on the blue wall is painted the lavender, while the lavender wall has blue..to add contrast...all hanging all over the walls are decorations...like some of my photo work hanging up, bookshelves, knick knacks, dreamcatchers I've made..etc etc...I have a Celtic design painting I painted some years ago..i have my guitar hanging up on one of the walls--uh...lets' put it this way...one stepping into the bedroom could tell an "artist" creative type lived here--lol

Well, my livingroom is very outdoorsy comfortable. My furniture was picked out by my guy on agreement that when we had a basement, it would be down there. But, our house has no basement. So I'm stuck with in. Our area rug matches in color, but is the only femme in the room. My office is Ralph Lauren Red with a beautiful red floral couch and my desk. My bedroom is a deep forest green that just so happened to match accent colors in my beautiful lavender quilt, the color was there when we moved in. I'd say for the most part, our palet is very neutral with added color splashed around. Amazingly, all the colors in the house fit our style very well when we moved in. Except our bathrooms, they're covered in hideous wallpaper that we won't take down until we agree in the colors for them. My guy is actually very into color and decision making when it comes to the house, so we generally work together on it.

I have my rooms with not much color around....a nice royal maroon in the study and living room and a cream shed on bed room...but you want to knoe how the house is decorated...so i just want to add this i have some nice paintings on the wall and many great collectables....will post a picture later...

As my mother would say it's kind of like "early salvation army" LOL- our furniture has been handed down from person to person- we have my grandmothers kitchen table and chairs from my mother in law, the livingroom couch was my sisters and the end tbales were my mother in laws, our bedroom furniture was my grandmothers and the other bedroom belonged to my inlaws. Eventually we are going to re-do each room as we get money to do so- my husband just finished the bathroom and last year we had to rebuild our patio out back, over the winter i repainted our kitchen cabinets, wallpaper and ceiling all thats left to be done in there is the floor. Hopefully our house will be done in the near future.

My house is the simplest house I think. I do not like putting curtains. They accumulate dust. I do not like to put on anything that accumulate dust. I like figurines but its not time yet to have them. I want my house to be surrounded with flowers but that would be impossible because my 4 year old kid is so bullish. I need to wait for the proper time before I start decorating the house. As of now, I have to keep it as simple as it could be.

Well Sweetie as you know I am renting now so the Color is Cream and I can not change it
I was going to freshen up the Place but as I am looking for somewhere else I am going to wait and see first how soon I can get something
