Saturated fats are usually encountered in fried foods and in animal meats. When cooking with oils, use olive and canola oils, which are particularly high in monounsaturated fats or vegetable oil, which is high in polyunsaturated fats. Unsaturated fats help lower cholesterol levels.
This food should avoided:Flesh foods, eggs, cheese, butter, whole milk, coconut and palm oils, sugar, white flour, tea, coffee, condiments, pickle, refined and processed foods and fried foods.
Thank you

Your risk increases as you get older. Men aged 45 years or older and women aged 55 years or older are at increased risk of high cholesterol.
After menopause, a woman's cholesterol level goes up, as does her risk for heart disease.
Is this information is enough for you...?
Thank you for the response...

If overweight, reduce weight.
Adopt healthy eating habits at once:
Take less fats in general , use minimal oil in cooking, avoid deep-fried, use low-fat/skim milk instead of full cream milk, fat meat, butter, lard, ghee, full cream milk and coconut oil.
Get your proteins from bean curd, dried peas & beans, fish, poultry and lean meat.
Take more high-fiber foods like cereals, fruits and vegetables.Quit smoking.Do aerobic exercises
See your doctor if you are obese , have a family history of high blood cholesterol/heart disease.

A pharmacist! I'm too young to worry about high cholesterol in my system but I am interested in what over the counter products there are that would help me with my diet :) Can you suggest some? I'm currently taking fiber capsules.
Thanks for the response on my discussion!
