That's it, I'm off, I have to go, I can't take anymore ..............

Going camping - Holidays under canvas
July 19, 2007 8:23am CST
That's got you intreagued:-) Yes, it's true, I'm off. I have my bag packed and I'm all ready to leave. I've had enough, taken too much stress lately, it's time to go. My partner and I are off for a while, going away for a break, and I really need this little holiday now. After all that has happened, culminating in the death of my Dad, I really do need to take some time out, chill out, relax a little, and this is the perfect time to go away. We are heading towards the West Country for a while, fingers cross the weather will be kind to us as we are taking the tent. We will be visiting Berkeley Castle in Gloucestershire where we plan to enjoy the medievel festival, and days out to Glastonbury and a visit to Stonehenge too. So, my friends, what ae your holiday plans?

Well sweetheart I have to say that I hope you have a wonderful time and you certainly do deserve to have a great time! I have already had our holiday in Aviemore - unfortunately that is where I had the setback on my recovery with my back but despite this it was still a good time! xxxx

Sorry to tear that you dad has passed away . You certainly do need to get away and what better way than just to take off with the one you care about the most .It sounds as though you are going to have a great break and when you come back you will be totallt refreshed and ready to go again .Give yourself time to heal .But most of all enjoy your break.stay safe and enjoy life.

I am glad you are getting the time away. I live in the USA but I have seen so many pictures of places in the UK and really wish I were finacially able to go and just take awhile to see the places. Stonehenge fascinates me. At my age I doubt I will ever get to go but at least I can dream.
20 Jul 07
Hi hun, I plan to take loads of pictures and will upload them here when I return. Something Dad used to say to me was *dreams can come true* so maybe one day you will see Stonehenge for yourself.

Its good, you need time to heal after losing someone close in your family and a break away does trick, I would like someday to actually leave New Zealand and holiday to another country, Iwould love to visit Austrailia and Canada as I have family there, so hopefully one day I will be able to take my family for an overseas holiday.

Tent - A guy getting his tent ready.
Sorry hun! I just noticed that this discussion is 2 months old, yet this is the first I have come across it. I really hope that you and your partner had a great time, I think getting away is always great especially in your case with all of the stress you were under. Did you enjoy the medievel festival? Hopefully you came back refreshed and feeling better! Love & Hugzz xxx

Hi hun, unfortunately due to the dreadful flooding we experienced here in the UK the medieval festival was cancelled, however we made good use of our break and managed to relax a little instead :-)

Thanks hun. The break was good despite the weather. We are hoping to go next year, so long as the place isn't under 6 feet of water :-)

Yea, that sounds like a well-planned holiday. Wish you enjoy yourself heartily. As for myself, a holiday is long due.... except there are no plans for it yet. Work comes first. lol.

That sounds fantastic, recycledgoth, and well-deserved. Hope you will return fresh and renewed from your holiday. I would so love to travel. I have not had a holiday for so many years, it's hard to remember. My ex keeps trying to talk me into paying him a visit in Tennessee. I just might go before the weather gets cold.

Thanks for your good wishes hun, why not pay a visit soon, and enjoy the break

That sounds like a lovely trip! I won't get to take any exciting holidays this summer, but I'm hoping we can go camping some weekend before the weather starts getting cooler. I just need to find a weekend when we don't already have plans!

I do enjoy being able to throw the tent into the back of the car and just getting away :-) I hope you get the chance to do the same very soon hun

Sounds like you need a break from your stress and all that's happened, so I hope you get a good rest and relaxation while touring the English countryside. As for me, I will likely plan to visit Melbourne, Australia in about three months from now. I haven't planned for it yet, but I will sometime in August. This will be my second visit there.

I'm going to Newfoundland, which is an east coast province in Canada. Life is very serene, and quiet there. I can't wait for the break.

See ya later you two. Have a great time. I'm semi-retired now so it's sort of like being on holiday permanently. That's how I like to look at life anyway, lol. I'd love to take of sometimes but there is no-one to look after my animals. I might have to come to some arrangement with someone to come here for a break but it has to be someone I could trust.
