I love reading the Bible! The reason is, it is truly God's Word. I especially like reading the King James Version (KJV), the Complete Jewish Bible (CJB) to get some Jewish perspective, and I also read the New International Version (NIV) sometimes. I also use a program called e-sword which is free (donations are accepted by the developer, and he deserves it!). My e-sword program has about 30 or so translations on it (so I can compare and get further insight), as well as numerous commentaries, Bible dictionaries, word study helps (like Strong's, Thayer's, or Brown, Driver, and Briggs' New and Old Testament Word studies), Bible maps, and a lot of other resources. I can sit at my computer with my Bible and look up words in e-sword, or get clarification from varying commentaries and Bible helps if I need it. So, if you read the Bible, which version is your favorite?

My favorite version is the King James Version. I do use e-sword and right now I am trying out the new versions of the King James Version and also have a Greek and KJV New Testament on my desktop. However, I need to learn how to decipher Greek, the alphabet is a little strange. I already have besides the King James Version, the Message *which I do not like, the Revised Standard Version, the NIV, and the German version (it was my father=in=laws'). I have a concordance which I use quite a bit. I do prefer Strongs as a reference though.
