I don't necessarily think the Giants are doomed this coming season but Eli is going to have a lot more on his shoulders now that Tiki Barber is gone. If he can step up (and in doing that I'd use Shockey A LOT more...he can turn a 5 yard screen pass into 25) and improve this season then I think the Giants can be a wild card contender.
GO STEELERS!!

hey, inked!
Heck, if they squeaked in last year at 8-8, anything's possible.
I've been wishing Shockey would become the lynchpin of the offense for years. he's got everything he needs to fill the role, I just don't know if he's too lazy, or what.
I do hope Big Ben bounces back. Last year was pretty hard on him, but it wouldn't surprise me if he comes back roaring.

I think Ben will be just fine. I thought he came back way too early last season and it showed. He's had all off-season to get his arm strength back and is in a contract season si I'm sure he's going to light it up as is Troy Polamalu who is a also entering the final year of his contract

I love my Giants but I hate, hate the coach. This year they won't have Tiki and Eli isn't comfortable yet. So I think it is ther dreaded "rebuilding" year.I wish that the team was better off this year but I don't think so.

Now that it looks like The Giants are trying to get rid of Strahan, it will be a true rebuilding year.
