When Actors get fired do they get to apply for unemployment?

Sag.org has an unemployment handbook for actors. So to me that suggest that they can receive unemployment. Here is one for you. If a president is running for a second term and loses, I wonder if he can file for unemployment? lol

Here in Canada, they pay into employment Insurance just like the rest of us, so, i believe that after working the minimum amount, and getting laid off, the can get unemployment just like the rest ofus

Well my Ex boyfriend who is a actor told me that they are able to pull un-employment because they are also taxed. they are also apart of a union which requires them to pay dues and have certain benifits which includes un-employment

Off course not, I don't think that they need to. They make so much a year that it wouldn't matter to them whatsoever.
