I hate the weatherman  

Here in the Spokane area of Washington State, we say "if you don't like the weather in Spokane wait fifteen minutes and it will change." We also call the weather report the "weather guess." Often it seems like the weather will do exactly opposite of what is predicted. I am so sorry about the Jeep - that is not fun! We had a similar issue a couple weeks ago - was supposed to have a hot dry spell for a couple weeks straight so my husband got the boat ready to go out. It poured one night - and our fish finder (which was missing part of a seal) was doused and stopped working as a result. :-(

our weatherpeople suck too.it must be the only job where you can be wrong consistantly and still keep your job.i have an arthritic cat who is more accurate than their high priced doppler "machine that goes ping".

I've given up on our 'local' weatherman. The weather is brought to us from a town that is about 2 hours away. I'm convinced that he uses a giant wheel, much like the one on 'Wheel of Fortune,' that has various forecasts on the links. He then develops colorful language for the mundane forecast and away he goes, blabbering endlessly as if he has any clue as to our predicted weather. Sorry about the wife's jeep. I trust that all is well after a good working-over with the shop vac? Hey, perhaps you could search every shoebox, purse and other packaged goods in your home for those little desiccant packages of silica gel. Or better yet, go to the mall and rip them off from purses and other items...put hundreds of them in your wife's jeep (with the top up and windows up of course) and voila, a dry jeep! Ha! (although I wonder if they would all swell and explode?!)

Its a jeep, don't stress, they're supposed to get messy and icky. I keep telling my guy that about mine, but he suddenly turned into the clean car police a few years ago. I don't know where it came from, when I first met him, you could put together a petrified super-sized order of fries from what was lurking under his driver's seat, 90% of his clothing was living in the back seat, and in his glove box lived a bottle of Polo cologne from the previous owner.

I do too. I don't where they come up that stuff. I never leave my windows or anything down in a car because I don't trust them! If I want to know what the weather is like, I look outside and judge for myself.

Anyway, hopefully your jeep is okay. :)

Even in our relatively small country the weathermen generalise but the weather varies. Sometimes it can be raining in our front garden but not in the back! So I don't trust the forecasts and judge for myself. Mind you it has been so wet here this 'summer' that in lots of places people have needed boats rather than even jeeps. Some places had 2 months' worth of rain in one day and the streams could not cope. I think we will escape without a hose pipe ban this year!!!

i hate them too!!! sometimes they have to cancel school just to say there's gonna be a bad weather when it's gonna be a sunny day!!! and there were times when we have to go to school just to suffer from heavy rains and traffic in the afternoon!!

Sorry to hear of your problem. It rarely rains here and today get to the store with no rain gear and it starts to pour. I told my husband that explains why the store is empty, as I haven't been watching the news lately.

The weather forcast PREDICTIONS suck. They said it was going to rain after 10. I left at 9, and i got SOAKED! Time to look for multiple predictions and paste the pieces together.

Yeah,so frustrating.I have the same feeling .The weatherman in Beijing isn't that good either.If the weatherman said it would be rainy hard tomorrow.You kown there's seldom a heavy rain in Beijing.We all expect a heavy rain in such a hot summer.Yet it always turned out to rain a little and lasts only several minutes.We students in Beijing always say:"If the weatherman says it'll rain heavily,then it'll turn out to be rain a little.If the weatherman says it'll be very hot tomorrow ,then it'll really be very very hot !"Ah!
