At what point should you put a family member into a long term care facility?

Many people feel guilt for placing a loved on in a long term health care facility such as a nursing home or a rehab center. At what point do you love them enough to do it, instead of loving them enough not to do it?

The point where you love them enough to do it is when you dont have time for them anymore. When you constantly worry about them because you can't be with them as often as you like and you never know if they are ok...like if they fell down the steps or something like that. And also when they can't take care of themselves at all. Yea - it's hard to put older people in a care facility but in some cases it is best. If you can - I would try to take care of them as long as I could.
