Here in the US we currently have another tainted food story and recall of canned meats produced by a plant in the state of Georgia. A couple of years ago it was spinach from California. And there have been several stories and worries about food imported from China, the US imports a lot of food from China and the recent excecution of a top official who oversaw food quality there for his part in problems with food there are more likely an effort to sooth the US worries and has not helped a lot. I don't want to single out China, there have been problems on occasion with food from other countries, but China has just been in the news a lot lately. What I want to know from our large international representation here is whether you have had similar problems on occasion in your country. Also, what do you in China think about all the news reports and the execution of the official and have you had such problems with food within China itself.

Hi stealthy! Recently, here in our country, all products from China were recalled and tested and found some products to contain formalin and also some of their products like toothpaste contain an ingredient that will cause liver damage, brain damage, stillborn deaths, etc.. They were given temporary ban which means that their business deals in our country will be temporarily stopped until they meet some standards that are set by our government. It's true that this don't only happen in China but there are some food businesses out there who fail to comply with certain regulations just as to gain more profit in their business. I hope this won't happen again and I really hope that they will be more responsible for the sake of the consumers like us. And I hope our government will impose heavily fines and penalties so thay won't do it again.
