Modern Day Robin Hood: What is your view on criminals who are kind to the poor?

I heard recently that a Criminal, Shiv Kumar Patel, 56 a.k.a Dadua was killed on sunday in northern India after 32 years of eluding arrest. They say he would loot the rich and use the booty to feed the poor who are neglected and left to fate! He would also defend the forests from illegal loggers and poachers. What is your view on such criminals who are kind to the poor?

I think that this so-called criminal should not be killed since he had been hiding away from being arrested for so many years and because of his helpful behaviour in defending the forests from illegal loggers and poachers. It shows that he had a kind heart towards the poor people, but he was not right to loot the rich because the rich also work hard to become rich. If he could think of some other ways to help the poor, maybe he would not have been killed by the law in his country. Anyway, may his soul be blessed in heaven.
