Many of you probably don't follow baseball or the Houston Astros but I do. One of the Astros superstars Craig Biggio yesterday announced his retirement at the end of this season. He is one of the few players who was lucky enough to play his whole career with one team. He has always respected the game, the players and the fans. He is a good guy and we will miss him. After announcing his plans in the afternoon he hit a grand slam home run during the game last night. One of the good guys!

They CRIED at our house. We are a huge family of Astros fans and have season tickets, every year, and seeing him retire for us what very sad, since we will miss him terribly, but yet a wonderful thing for him. He has done an unbelieveable job with the Astros for the last 20 years and to leave when he is not too old and made to look bad, will be wonderful for him, especially since he said that he wanted to spend time with his children. I applaud him for that. But he will be surely missed ... did you catch the game last evening?? I am dying without Hunter, poor baby!

Oh, I cried too. I watched his press conference and when he teared up, so did I.I dont know what we are going to do without being able to watch him. Even when my kids were little we went to the games. My daughter Annie will really miss him since he's her favorite. I nearly jumped up and down when Craig hit the grand slam! I'm really sad about Hunter- the break will probably ruin his chance to be Rookie of the Year. It just wont be the same... Thanks friend!

I don't know him that well but I have seen him play against the Cubs. I am a Cubs fan. With all the stuff in the news about baseball players and steriods its nice to hear about a guy who plays the game because he loves it.

So true. He has always been a quality player and man. People in and out of sports could learn from him.
