faith210 (8437) | 3 years ago | Hi TerryZ! That's good. So am I, unless I really, really find out that the taste of the food is not good as I expect it to be. Anyway, I really don't have leftovers because my husband will surely finish it if ever. LOL!

faith210 (8437) | 3 years ago | What a coincidence! We have similar upbringing. My parents always reminded us about the children who die of hunger and how lucky we are for there is food on the table. Such blessings should not be wasted. I took those valuable words in my heart and my brothers and I tell the same thing to the younger generation in our families.

3. easyliving (1541) | 3 years ago | When I was growing up I was from a poor family My grandmother would say that we ate everything on our plate. If we did not like it we just did not get seconds. So I am not a fussy eater and I eat what is given me and dont ask for seconds except occasionally when maybe steak or lobster tail. LOL

faith210 (8437) | 3 years ago | Hi! I admire your grandmother for instilling that kind of discipline. And your wife is very lucky to have you because you are not a fussy eater!LOL. Oh, I am going to have seconds too if there are lobsters on our table. Yummy!

archerzbaby (2539) | 9 months ago | I am like this person here... easyliving. I also eat whatever's served on the table for me to eat because for me I always consider it a blessing, no matter how cheap or extravagant the food is on our table. My parents always taught us the value of being able to eat even the cheapest foods several times in a month to let us learn the value of saving money at the same time and realizing that we can't eat expensive kinds of food all the time. And which is, that is really life, reality.

4. wackeytiger (377) | 3 years ago | I used to leave food all the time on my plate when I was little because my eyes were too big for my stomach. Now I usually eat all that is on my plate and if I do end up having leftovers I eat it the following day. Can't waste food!
| |
| |
|
|
faith210 (8437) | 3 years ago | You're right about that! Can't waste food either! Especially in our country, there are still so many who eat only once a day or sometimes they don't even eat the whole day, just thinking of them, makes me cherish the blessings I have on my table.

faith210 (8437) | 3 years ago | Can't finish your food? No wonder you are so slim. Anyway, you did right in bringing home your leftovers to be eaten the next day or whatever. I just hope you'll eat more so you will be healthier.:)

7. vmks31 (7459) | 3 years ago | It depends and it is not something that happens every time i eat Sometimes i eat everything on my plate and resort to licking other times i return the plate half full I guess it depends on so many factors Thanks for sharing Good Luck

|
|
faith210 (8437) | 3 years ago | Hi vmks31! Yes, no matter how much we wanted not to waste food there are still some factors that enable us not to do so. We just can't sometimes force ourselves in finishing it all up if the stomach can't really take it. Thank you for participating. Have a nice day!
