How do you move on after losing an important part of your life? Sometimes we humans are just too caught up with emotions that prevent us from moving on...

Hi mkcallejo! Reading your discussion brought back some past and I do understand what you feel. Moving on after losing an important person/part of your life is really difficult. It's not easy, I know. Well, I can share some lessons I've learned from the past. Changes, as everybody says, are the only constant things in this world and dealing with them always gives us a difficult start. For me, letting go of someone who becamse a BIG part of your life is not easy. And "LETTING GO" is not the right term to use - ACCEPTANCE is a more appropriate one. No matter how much you say that you're fine or convince yourself that you will be ok, you are not. A part of you still longs for that person you let go or about to let go. You cannot and have never really let go.. It should have been more of accepting this sudden inevitable change - of realizing that there are reasons why certain things have to happen. It's a matter of perspective, actually. The choice is in YOU whether you continue dwelling on things you can no longer change or take life's reality and accept these changes... then, move on. :) Lastly, I want to share this line to you. "Stop rehearsing the past and start releasing them.. then get on with the rest of your life." Enjoy the rest of your weekend! God bless! *hUgz*
