somebody filed a criminal case against my husband  

it happened on new year's eve at my sister-in-law's house. what happened was that this drunk man was following somebody on a motorcycle who incidentally parked in front of the house. they argued right there so my husband, brother-in-law and their cousins (who were having a drink themselves) went out to check the commotion. the drunk man charged at my husband and company and since there were kids inside (our kids), my husband tried to calm the drunk man but he was insistent. to the extent that he was creating a scene already in front of the house. neighbors were gathering around already.

to make a long story short, my husband hit him in the nose and he fell on the gutter by the road. he was amok after that but neighbors took him away. the following morning, he filed a complaint against my husband!

last monday, the court hearing was scheduled (after 7 months!) but the guy was already apologetic and decided to withdraw his case. he didn't want to be bothered by court hearings and all and i guess he realized it was his fault that he got hit anyway. he and his wife were nice when we met them at the hall of justice where the hearing was scheduled.

everything ended amicable, thank god. i was depressed the week before the hearing because i was already thinking of the worst things that could happen.

i just wanted to let this out. (sigh)
