Is rose symbol of love as in the category of flowers

rose is mostly known as the symbol of love in referral to its beauty and its red color. but i don't think that it has to be red rose to use as a love symbol, all types of the rose are really beatiful, have a really good smell and a long history that make them unique among the other flowers.

i think so . rose is considered as a symbol of love in category of flowers. red in particular, i think.but then your inward heart and desire cant be specified from a flower.everything depends on your heart and your mind .even if you did give your lover the worst flower ever,if you give it with love, that alone matters.but most lovers prefer roses and red ones in those .i dont know for what reason.
