She's a very active little girl too, Gerty. She can't keep still... has to be doing something, so really, Mum and Dad are quite pleased that she can amuse herself. he he he

Yes, they have rules, and they have to be adhered to. In schooltime, bedtime comes earlier, at 8 o'clock. They'll be going on holiday soon... I'm going to miss them then! They're taking a cottage in Frome, in our West Country, so that they can visit Longleat Safari Park, Weston Super Mare (sandy beach with donkeys), and Glastonbury, for the Abbey and Tor. They asked me if I wanted to go with them, but I think I might chill, on my own for the odd day here and there, later.

I support Lauren in every way I possibly can, as she is involved in so much. I can't always be there, but as often as possible, I am.

I have no idea where she gets it from, lol, but perhaps, with her designing mind, she could help me make my own set of tools, which I'm about to embark upon. :)

We now have a new Hobbycraft outlet in Crawley. I had a mooch around there last Sunday, and there are some fascinating things in there which would keep her quiet for hours. Of course, her birthday is eleven days before Christmas and if we want a quietish Christmas Day this year, your idea might be taken up! lol.

I hope she keeps it up too, Lakota. She has a very clever mind, and I don't know where she got the idea of building the pond from... maybe the tv. She'll sit quietly and watch anything that interests her, like that, and store it up for the following day, when she goes to work! Great though, what she comes up with.

She's nine, going on seventeen. lol

they do seem like they know alot than their age is told like mine is 32 months and such imagination and she talks to every one on her toy cell phone

Well... I don't know about her idol! lol. But, I do try to encourage all of them. I've promised my other son's daughter that I will pay for her dance classes at the start of the autumn term. She wants to be a dancer and is pretty good at it.

No, you're right, Gabs, but both the girls have their Internet time limited, and also, the computer games, which they play on the tv screen. My son tells them they have so much time, and then it's his turn to watch tv. They never grumble, because they know it's equal for all. They're good kids.

Well, I always cook when they come to mine, and they always cook when I go to theirs. Those who didn't cook, clear the table and muck in with the washing and wiping up, and putting away the dried crockery and utensils, which is much appreciated by the person who cooked.

I think your daughter is a little unfair to expect your wife to do everything, but there you go, if you're wife wants it that way. Who am I to argue? lol.

It is nice to see the kids using their brains, instead of spaced out behind a video or computer game. You know, she even embroidered a black nose on this cat? lol. She must have seen it somewhere, surely... unless she studies objects really hard, to get her ideas.

Yes, I believe you're right. She likes her little time on the computer and with video games, but it is limited and she has to find her own amusement outside that. She is encouraged to spend time outdoors, and I think that's one of the most valuable lessons in life.
