So, you all like geology? What are your favourite rocks? I'm partial to a good granite myself. I spent a lot of time on field trips in Cornwall England and the Scottish islands where there are some beautiful granites...I hear there are also some awesome granites in Ontario?

Where is your land? I like the fossils in sedimentary rocks but like you say other than that they are a bit boring! Minerals are cool too. I love pyrite! I studied in mid-Wales where there were loads of old pyrite mines and you could get some awesome specimens if you spent time looking. When the price of iron goes up it'd be worth cashing in my stash!!!

i am from Slovenia. fossils are very common here yes (clamps and snails) but I don't have any luck finding them (although one some places you have a 100% chance to find one and 50% chance that it is preserved very well---just my bad luck I guess). I envy you heheh. On pyrite specimens that is. mine is millimeter x millimeter, small little thing.

Sorry I'm not really interested in geology but I like the ones with the crystals in the middle. To me they represent a simple truth in life about beauty being on the inside.
