i coulnd't wait to play board games with my daughter either. i think she was about 2 and a half when we started playing. i'm really into games and i have a collection of old vintage ones. the first one she played was a cabbage patch game. it's simple and was so much fun. now she is 4 and she has about 20 games of her own. her favorites are some of the old ones like curious george and my little pony board games. we also love the disney bingo game. that one is good for young kids cause it comes with a dvd. it's the caller so you can play two people. the cards are full of chacters instead of numbers. they call out the caracter and the background color it's on so you know which row to look under. it's a lot of fun.

Thats neat the bingo game. That would be almost like national bingo night. I'll have to look for that one. I think I will need a cloest with just games. I might make a game night for the family to get together and play. Maybe once a week.

My kids were 2 and 3 when they got cansy land, but now they are 5 and 6 and love to play monopoly!!! I can't believe that a child of that age can even comprehend the object of playing monoply, just wait until that stage because it is fun to play with them until they start beating you!!lmfao.
Great topic it made me think about old times I miss the candy land days when I could still beat my children at board games.

My children were probably ages 3-4 when they began to play board games. The first two games that my children had was HiHo Cherry-O and Candyland. We would sit for hours and play these games with our children. Consequently, my kids knew how to count and their colors very early. As my children grew, we constantly got new games and played with them. Each of the children has told me that game-playing as a family is one of their fondest memories!
