Pet birds  

Unfortunately, I don't have any pet birds right now because they are not allowed in my apartment building. However, when I lived at home, we used to have one finch. At first, I didn't like it because it seemed to make the most noise when I didn't want it to. However, once that finch died, I missed its calls alot.

Although I can't own birds at this time, I love to watch and listen to them. Even the most common birds that around our cities have suprises for us if we listen. I've noticed that the Black Capped Chicadee has many, many different calls and it thrills me when they show themselves off.

I certainly hope you enjoy your pet bird...they are quite remarkable!!

I used to have a pet bird named Gabriel who was the sweetest, funniest parakeet. He could say "birdybirdy" and "whatcha doin'" among many other things and would fly over and sit on your head if you clapped. Unfortunately, he flew out an open door one day ): Now my mom bought her own birds. One named Louise is blue and the other, Anna, is yellow. They aren't nearly as tame as Gabriel was (I spent a lot of time with Gabriel, whereas my mom doesn't have as much time with her two birds). In a few weeks, my mom plans on getting another parakeet, a white one, and naming it "Contessa." We hope she can become friends with the other two parakeets; I do not want her to become lonely by herself!

Hi I have three birds, one cockatiel, one sun parrot, and on citern cockatoo. the cockatoo is my baby. She is very demanding and spoiled, and I love to spoil her. She is always giving me kisses. And loves to play pick-a-boo.

I have a cockatiel and his name is Timmy. He loves to talk, and he can say alot of words. He also likes to sing hip hop songs. He even likes my cat , and they are friends.

Yes we have had pet birds...budgies and a large white cockatoo named Aimee. She was a smart bird and could say..."Hello, pretty bird, Aimee is a pretty bird"...and then repeat it all again...and again...and again. It is really cute when you first hear it...but after awhile you begin to feel like saying Aimee...enough already.

We had Aimee for a few years...but my hubby and I are self-employed and could not give her the focused attention cockatoos require. So we found her a home with a wonderful family and a 12 year old boy who dotes on her every need and she is a happy, chatty bird.

I had two doves. They were given to us by someone who didn't want them anymore. But I got really sick with them around...like almost die sick so they had to go away! :( I still think of them every day!
