I grew up middle class (on the lower end) and yes I maybe 'richer' than my parent were but they were certainly richer in many other ways, They were able to let their kids out to play with out worrying about them being kidnapped or worst, I can't do that (not that I'm paranoid, but the world isn't as safe as it was? or is it? things were pretty well swept under the carpet then - world wide)
Food didn't have half if any chemicals sprayed on them. etc (this could go on and on.)
Life may have been harder for them job wise, women not working outside the home only the one wage, contraception or lack of it, but they lead happy simple lives not lives like now that is rush rush rush.

I was brought up middle class- My parents both worked to give us what we wanted and needed. I would say we are better off- Still middle class but only 1 child instead of the 2 my parents had. We buy more toys (4-wheelers, snowmobiles) etc. than my parents did- and take more vacations- Same amount of Love- Both very loving families-

I born and grow up in no wealthy nor middle calss. I opened my eyes in poor class. I worked hard and also tried to collect the prayes of my poor parents and now I am a member of middle class. There is a long way to become richer. But I am not worried becouse end of life is same for richer as for poors and middle class people.

Well.. I don't live on my own yet, but I doubt I will ever become better off than how I live now. My parents, back when they still lived in the country in the Dominican Republic, were both poor and their families poor, and so once my dad brought us all to the states he made a decision to give my brother and I a better life than he had. And that he did, we have a few luxury cars and we live in a large house and have traveled very much and I pretty much live very comfortably. I doubt that my future husband and I will be able to surpass everything, though I think I can match it. I sure hope I can, anyway! Hehe :)
