Has anyone been in Venice Italy recently?  |

 I have lived in Venice for 8 years and am missing this beautiful city really so much. The only thing that I didn't like at all was the awful smell around October and November, but all the rest, things as archtecture, history and romance are so abundant there that it makes you fall in love forever and ever with this city. I wonder if among MyLot's citizens there are others who have lived there and mis the city?

I was there a few years ago on my way to a mission.
It was summer and all of the hotels were booked so I had to stay in one that was so far away Ihad to take a train to get to the first canal.
The stench of the canals were so bad I wonder how anyone lived in the homes above them. The sides of these houses were cracking.
I'm sure Venice is going to fall into the sea if they don't start repairing it.

| 4. oriental (960) | 1 year ago |  I was in Venice more than twenty years ago and only for one day, but it was enough to like it. I would love to return there and spend a longer time knowing its little streets and bridges, the "palazzos" and the churches, sailing along its channels, sitting at a coffee shop in Piazza San Marcos, etc.
