Is it a good Idea for America to arm the Middle East?

I just learnt recently that the US plans to arm the middle East to the tune of $30 Billion-The arms would go to Saudi Arabia, Lebannon, Israel and Egypt. Is it a good idea?

I read this news as well. The purpose is very clear. The US just wants to have all the other neighbouring countries to deal with Iran by arming the Middle East. I cannot understand completely why. But I think that it is better not to encourage wars against any country. We need a peaceful world.
