Help! our refrigerator lost power and now it stinks!!!!  | | | |  we have a vacation home, and just arrived there last week only to find the power had gone out, and the refridgerator was off. there was hamburger pattties (unopened and sealed)-thank god,,, but the smell of rancid meat was to kill us! oh boy, we shut down, emptied it and bleached the whole inside,,,there was nothing leaked out at least,,,then we put baking soda, vingager,, newspaper, charcoal, all of them rotated for the next few days, and nothing smells better! what can i do!!???? just short of throwing it out?

| |  I can't believe it still stinks after all that! Man- How about trying SImply green- its a cleaner- there has to be something you can do- Try plugging it back in and maybe some of the smell will go away after it cools again? good luck with this!

| |  Try wiping it out with some kind of spray cleaner and then wipe out with vanila escence.I got this from a guy who dealt in recondioned fridges, I tryed it when I had a broken egg that went off in mine and I hadn't relized what was for days, it really stunck and this fixed it.

| |  I really do not know if this will work. How about adding lemon in the water and use the mixture to clean the area that smells then follow it up with baking soda mixed in water.I leave to you to decide how concentrated the mixtures will be depending how big the area is. Leave it for hours till the smell disappeares. Then finally rinse it. Good luck . Hope it works.
