Lost in Translation Disgusted me!  |

 My question to you is: is it gross when a movie shows an old man with a young YOUNG woman? I found it so gross watching Lost in Translation because Bill Murrey looks so old and Scarlett Johansson looks so young. Not to mention the both are married in the movie...to aweful people...but still...it shows our society it's ok to cheat as long as it makes you happy. ok that's my rant for the day. What do you think?

4.  filmbuff (1338) | 3 years ago |  I don't know that I would necessarily agree with that statement. People can be attracted to each other in various ways with age having little or nothing to do with it.
In the Case of Lost in Translation and I'll try to be as spoilerfree as possible, you have to look at the situation. Two people in foreign country where neither of them speak the language or have any friends. Both alone there, both lonely and needing some kind of human companionship, or the very least someone who can relate to them.
It's not nearly as dirty or sordid as you make it out to be.
