chevy truck, 2004 ac charge

I want to add ac freon but do not know which port to hook up to,There are 2 ports on the same line, both have a black cap. My truck is a 04 1500 silverodo

To be absolutely certain you are doing everything right, you might want to get a manual for your truck. I'd suggest a Chilton's. Then you have a portable reference handy for most anything you'd need to do on the truck.
You also need to check what freon your ac uses. Some of them are not to be used except by licensed shops now.
