1# The segment they target ie. Jagjit singh for Gazals (indian Blues) & Eric Clapton for Blues.
2# Both of them had problems with their kins. Incidently each of their kin's were involved in drug abuse at young age & sadly they lost them.
3# Both have a savy for guitar. Only in Jagjit sings gazals one can hear lots of guitaring behind, especially hollow guitar played in pluck style. Eric Clapton always uses Pluck guitar.

| | Jagjit singh is one of the best ghazal singers Indian music has produced. Its been more than 30 years since he made his first appearnce into the musical world. He started with some bollywood and some punjabi songs in the movies. And seeing his popularity and his voice quality he was offered the best break in his lifetime in the movie "Arth". His ghazals from that movie were the chartbusters for many years and till now he is remebered for his play with the magical words in those ghazals.
He is one of those singers who put their best into their work and dedicate their lives towards the music. This was the reason that when he lost his son in an accident his all sorrow and pain came in front of the world by medium of his all time favorite ghazal albums. His soulmate also helped him in this work to be made forever. | | | | | | |

| |  u cannot compare jagjit with any other singer worldwide. i am not against eric clapton but jagjit is jagjit. Last there was a show at siri fort auditorium, delhi of jagjit singh and me and my wife all the way in rain on bike went to attend that jagjit singh night. What a wonderful singer, he is. Simple and down to earth person.
