It was 10.30 PM A old woman who fell on the ground and got hit on her head at the railway platform. Her husband was with her and could not carry her to the nearby clinic. A young man waiting for his last train to his destination saw the predicament of the husband and carried the woman on his shoulder to the clinic. While going to the clinic, the young man’s shirt was stained with blood oozing out from the head of the woman. Doctor did the dressing and both the old people thanked the young man and took a taxi to their residence. The young man could not go to his destination since he missed the last train. Since it was 11.30 PM all water tab went dry. He could not wash the bloodstain in his shirt. He was wandering to find out water on the road. A police patrol saw this young man with bloodstain and took him to Police station. The man explained to the police under what circumstances he carried the bloodstain. Police did not listen to his plea. He was thrown into lock-up without filing FIR. (First information Report). He was kept in the lock for 12 hours. Next day when his family came to the Police Station, they had been asked to pay Rs.940/- (around $24) to release him from the Lock-Up. His family paid the bribe and took him to home. This has happened in our city few days before. Who should be blamed? Please share your views.
