Can a guy tell if a girl likes/loves him?

Recently, I just felt that I like this certain guy (he's a family friend) but I don't want to let him know what I feel for him. Our families are so close and I'll say I find it hard to act as if there's nothing for him within me.
Then, I wonder, would a guy really know if someone has a feelings for him? If so, how do they go about with it?

i guess it depends, if the girl is too obvious with her feelings towards the guy then he could possibly notice that the girl like/love him. otherwise if the girl is secretive and doesn't give a hint then how would he know. regarding their reactions it depends also with the guy. some would be flattered, pruod and even be scared. but i'm not saying he'll be scared since you're close with each other. maybe he likes you too, you just didn't notice.
