Our lives are filled with thousands of such faallcies and beliefs and even in the modern period, we tend to respect it by following these traditions. Do you still believe it.

It is superstitious to sacrifice a tooth for safe delivery of a baby. I don't believe it at all. When people are better educated, they will know this.

The idea of bringing up this discussion is to explore the possibilities of prevalence of such a practice and to educate them that these are nothing but misconceptions. Thanks for your discussion.

This must have been prevalent 200 years ago. Not now I suppose.

I haven't tried giving birth, but this is another fallacy. Giving birth is not always safe and we all know that. The life of the mother and the child are in grave danger. We are very much thankful if we surpassed that delivery. Sacrificing a tooth, it is a fallacy, it is not true. WE all be passed through hardship when giving birth, a not because of a tooth we became safe in bringing out the baby in this world.

hmm, i think the sacrifice part is because when women are carrying a child, the baby depends on the mom for nutrients.. and one such vital nutrient is calcium. with the baby using up much of the mother's calcium, some bones beomes brittle. one such bone is the tooth.. so, that's why they are prone to losing a tooth.. hahaha.. weird but true..
