|  Have you heard of the toxic levels of lead based paint in toys from china - including Elmo, barbie and more? Please go to the Mattel site for more info. What do you think of all of these problems with things from china - from petfood to toys? Is it just a nation trying to emerge or is it failure to regulate stemming from greed? I think its the former, I don't think they want to intentionally hurt anyone - what do you think?

| |  I think the whole thing is so scary! I mean, the kids are in danger from their toys! How horrible is that? I don't want to think that they [toy companies] did it just for greed because that seems so awful to not care if you kill children just for gobs of money. That's too sickening to even think about! I want to believe that they did not know and that now that they've found out, they want to make it right. But it does seem that better regulations might be in order.

| |  I don't know if it's on purpose, but it could be. It could also be pure ignorance. Whatever it is, it's causing major problems here, and I'm surprised we're still doing business with China!

provide Australian made peanut butter for those who dont want Chinese made.
Yes, Mattel toys contain lead paint which can poison children - it must be banned. Other toys have tiny magnets that children can swallow.

| |  not sure what to say about it. could of been an accident but then again why have any lead based paint in the toy plant to start with. but accidents to happen.
anyway my daughter had quite a few of them. her birthday wasn't too long ago and a few toys she got for her birthday were on the recall list.
