Chinese Imports???  | |  With the recent Troubles and Recalls on Chinese imports of contaminated food, too much lead in the paint of childrens toys and baby bibs and the list goes on. What do you think your country should do? Put a complete ban on all imports from China and strictly buy American or Canadian? We all try to save a little money on products BUT is it worth it to take the chance on poisoning ourselves or buying defective electronics that burn your house down? Even NASA bought a cheaper gasket for the Space Shuttle in China instead of buying an American made one for a little more money but ALOT higher quality! What do you really think?

I prefer American made or British made. I always try to support the local businesses. I still buy American products even though I am now living in the UK. You get what you pay for. I don't mind paying a little more for our own products.

First this is what kills me with companies going over seas for suppliers and depending on nitwit inspectors to catch this stuff. If we manufactured our own products and bought them from our own homeland companies, we could regulate them much more, cheaper and easier. This is just stupid to go on about homeland security then relax on what we bring in here and sell.
Second gripe is the fact the Toys R us bibs that tested very high for lead are not being recalled. Hmmm many can by anything it appears. So I will not be shopping at Toys R us ever again. They go on my permanent boycott list.
