The Independent Film Festival of Boston is seeking film submissions for our next festival, being held April 23-29, 2008 at the Boston area's most historic arthouse cinemas. Over 120 screenings will be held along with nightly parties and weekend panel discussions. Seeking narrative features, documentary features, short films, animation, experimental films, horror, sci-fi, and combinations of all of the above. Accepted feature filmmakers will be provided with transportation from sponsored airline cities. All accepted filmmakers will be provided with luxury hotel accommodations and festival all-access passes. Named the premier film festival in Boston by the Boston Globe, Boston Herald, Boston Phoenix, and the book The Ultimate Film Festival Survival Guide. The 2007 festival hosted over 23,000 attendees in six days and more are expected for the 2008 festival. Past guests include Steve Buscemi, Chris Cooper, John Waters, Lili Taylor, Albert Maysles, Illeana Douglas, Will Arnett, Michael Cera, Eliza Dushku, and many more along with hundreds of the top young filmmakers on the festival circuit. Early submission deadline is Sept.30, regular deadline is Dec.31, and late deadline is jan.31.
