I was just wanting to know what others clean their DVD's and CD's with do you use plain water and a cotton cloth or do you use alcohol and a cotton ball/swab? Or do you just go and buy those CD and DVD cleaners? I will admit I used to use the CD?DVD cleaners but I have found that using alcohol and water is just as good so why pay extra for something that is not really necessary. What do yo uclean yours with? Do you have any suggestions on cleaning them? Have you ever used something that takes scratches off CD's/DVD's? I have been wanting to try that but want to know if it really works and is worth the money.

I keep all of my CD's/DVD's in sleeves and cases so they never get dirty. Most of the time if they get a fingerprint or two on them...I'll gently rub them on my t-shirt and that takes them right off. AT PEACE WITHIN

Do you think that sliding them in and out of sleeves can cause some scratches? I burned all my favorite songs onto CDs a little over a year ago and now I cannot even listen to them properly they are all scratched up and skip and everything I have cleaned them with my shirts before and have even used cd cleaners but I have found that making it is cheaper and is just as good but I need to get some sleeves to use so I can use them I have CD holder cases that I use but it does seem to scratch them up sliding them in and out. Well thanks for the response I appreciate it and thanks for the information.

I also have a bunch of cd's and I've never had a problem with scratches on them. They play the same now as the first time I played them. Some I've even taken in my purse when I travel. Good luck with yours though. AT PEACE WITHIN

Maybe it is the brand od CD's I buy that causes them to scratch up easy. I will try to be more careful iin the future because I cannot burn music with the computer I have so I cannot replace those CD's I made I cannot even download music with the PC that I have now to many problems and to old. it is a 95 model. Well thanks for the response I hope that you have a wonderful day full of peace.

My hubby bought this device from Walgreens. It cleans the cds and the dvds. It also repairs any scratches. Works pretty well.
