Yes, I was! I was very popular among my batch at my post graduate degree College. And the interesting thing is that, I hardly knew it. I was a kind of guy who used to be happy with just a few good people around and I was amuzed to know that people were interested in me! But soon I made a lot of friends. Although I kept going on with few people only, but had a Hi/Hello relation with almost everybody at College. Being popular feels so great! Naturally, people are jealous of the popular guys...

I was a nobody in high school until the last year when suddenly I got popular. I went to college and, for reasons unknown to me, I was very popular and was the editor of the newspaper, in student government, had tons of friends. It was all so new to me. I was used to being picked on and called names when I was younger. I stayed the same, I guess I just blossomed? But being popular is tough because people do expect you to be there for them and to go places and to be UP all the time when I just wanted to be me. I eventually settled into just being me and had a bunch of cool friends and was happy with the way things were. Don't feel jealous of anyone. Many times the most popular people are the most conceited and the ones who will do anything for friends and acceptance. Having true friends, for me, was so much better than strangers talking to me who I didn't know and trying to live up to a standard that others set for me.
