Child support New Credit Card for this

Have you seen this? I went to this Car Part store to to take a Thermostat back, this girl was in the line to pay for her Merchantdise, the Guy ask her Credit or Debit. I told her when you ask for debit, they take out .25 she goes, I don't know how this work, this is a Child Support Credit Card, I never her of this this is new, people are getting Child Support Credit Cards instead of cash, I thought that was good. I told the lady well you will never go broke untill your child turns 18 yrs, old. that was really a joke, but I think that is wonderful that the State is doing this. Do they do this in your State or Country? This is in Ohio. Everyone have a nice week-end!

Yes vicky It is true, I seen it yesterday, the woman was purshasing something at the part store, with Child-Support, Credit Card. I told her that was the first I had heard of that. I am sure you will be hearing about it, sooner than you think, we Live in Ohio and Ohio rules are the same, all out Ohio.

child support credit cards? To each their own, atleast the people are getting paid. Seems they have pre-paid gift cards and pre-paid credit cards for everything. It's amazing how things have changed in the past few years.

We have those cards here in virginia.They deposit the child support funds onto the card.I chose to have direct deposit in my bank account instead though.I think its rather convient for them to have cards so they wont have to sit around waiting a check or when the holiday comes they wont miss their funds.Also is great so they wont have to worry about their check getting lost.

I cannot understand this. Wouldn't the State want to know if she is paying for stuff for her child? So if she bought herself a new dress, could the State not allow the charges? It does seem a little risky to me and how is she going to learn how to live on cash, if all they do is give her a card to pay things with?

If she is buying something at her car parts store, the car would be used in the transport of a child/children.
And child support is for food/clothing and shelter and I am sure she pays her rent/mortgage from her own account and therefore some of the money for child support could be used to buy her a dress.
