Although I am a type 2 diabetic, I must confess I adore cheesecake! However, I have to tell you that I am allergic to aspartame and Splenda. So it is a real challenge to find desserts that can fulfill my sweet tooth cravings. If you know of any desserts that are okay for diabetics, (especially cheesekake!) without using those artificial sweeteners, please share? Thanks so much in advance...visions of (diabetic-friendly) sugar plums already dancing in my head! :-D

My father is a diabetic and we, too, are looking for a diabetic-friendly dessert for him.. Though his right leg had been amputated, he is still stong-willed especially on eating sweets.. Im really interested on knowing new kinds of food to give to my father.. Just let me know if you've got one..=)

For sure I will share them with you. I am sorry to hear that your father's leg has been amputated! It is hard to be a diabetic because there are so many things you are not allowed to eat, do, or have! Unfortunately, diabetes is a genetically passed-on condition, so you have to be careful, because it is carried by the x chromosome, which your father contributed to your genetic makeup! So monitor your own blood sugar, my friend...good luck to you and your family. :-D
