Ever hold off "powdering your nose" when you have a baby, human or furry on you

Ever have a dog or baby or child - or even a husband who falls asleep watching a movie on you and have use the restroom? Ever hold off because they look so sweet? Or do you ever wake up in the middle of the night and tell yourself you'll go in just one more minute - then fall back asleep and wake up and still have to go?

I can honestly say that I've never brought this up in conversation before, but these moments occur so often for me!
Even if they're not asleep, sometimes they just look so adorable doing whatever they're doing that I just can't tear myself away!
Even more often is the middle of the night waking.
Especially a cold night when I'm warm and naked in bed, having to get up and move all the way to the toilet involves atleast 5 minutes of procrastination, during which I normally fall asleep again =]

I know, I hesitated to bring it up, thinking it may not be tactful.
But its so true. In fact right now I have a baby asleep in my lap - instead of his crib, and I'm hesitant to wake him up. What if he doesn't go back to sleep afterwards? I don't want to deal with him crying himself to sleep....

I feel so much better - and baby is fine. I got to powder, get food and my chapstick - which I am very much addicted.
Yes my name is Amy and I'm a chapstickaholic.
Malyck, you're on here a lot, what do the other members of your household say? Do they ever remind you that the sun is shining outside?

After six children and 6x's the number of those sweet moments, I think my bladder is the size of a basketball by now! Sometimes it's not even because they look so sweet but because they look so michievious I don't dare leave them for a quick sprint to the bathroom. Other times when the baby is asleep in my arms I don't get up and go simply because having him asleep on my lap is a really good excuse to get out of doing other things!

I can see your point on not wanting to leave your kids to get into things.
Right now my son is a baby and I keep him in front of the open door. Wow, I certainly didn't appreciate the joys of using the restroom alone before I had him!

I take the baby with me quite often! His two year old brother doesn't like sharing with baby and is especially uncomfortable with baby pulling himself up to stand. I think he's afraid that the baby will fall down and really is trying to protect his baby brother when he goes over and pulls him down to the floor...problem is he doesn't know how to do that gently so 9 times out of 10 he drops baby...I don't like that very much! If I really have to go, baby can come with me and the 2 and 4 year old boys can't get into THAT much trouble while I'm gone...but usually enough!
