Every dream of changing yourself and becoming younger thinner, darker, lighter, prettier more handsome? How would this change your work, relationships, social life? If you don't dream of this tell me why?For my part, I remind myself daily that I'm beautiful, intellgent and unique, but sometimes, I daydream of a transformations, like in Gael Baudino's book or maybe extrememakeover

Usually I just want to transform well my hair above all else. I think the shortcut is too over done, but I have no choice since its the professional world. If I could I'd probably go for something fancy yet not ostentatious.

You could go in for a wig that's not over the top to wear on weekends... would it help to wear cool hats unitl you get far enough ahead professionally to do your own thing?

Actually I've done cool hats at one point, usually on fridays. Of course I take them off during important meetings, but most times I keep them on and its fun for everyone. And I don't see myself with a wig, but I am looking into certain removable pieces. Probably wouldn't look too good though ;p

I dream of this more than anything else in the world, and as a result nothing else in the world makes me more depressed than to know this shall never be.

Welcome, ZaffireWolf. You have told me you dream of this, and that it makes you feel depressed but not much more. What would you change and why? How would this change your world, school, work, friends, family, love life? How would friends and family react. Btw, I really like your name - where did you find it? Have you seen my post - vampires or werewolves?

I do have daydreams sometimes on how different things would be right now without the Fibromyalgia and arthritis. Right before it hit I had my own business and had really started to build a steady clientelle and was making great money. Now I never know when I'll be able to get out of bed. The business is gone and we're broke all the time. If I could magically snap my fingers and get my health back we'd be in good financial shape and I could get my business back up and running. It would be nice.

That's so difficult - whatever business it was - I would guess it was somehow helping others. Can you get Social Security or Disability for it? My sister got these for the first few years of being diagnosed with RSI. She found ways around doing as much work with her hands and got Dragon Speak software for the computer so she was able to build her business back up - a lot of clients she had at the legal foundation she worked at wanted to work with her in any way they could work out.
