Bang goes the neighbourhood  

I am a fanatic locker upper and I don't even have the windows open at night since some brats put lit matches through the window in the first week I lived here.

The problem with impaired hearing is that you can not tell if anything is going on outside.

A lady was murdered two streets away so I am in hyper lock up mode at the moment and if there is nobody else in the block I don't even put the rubbish out.

Trouble is the neighbours work shifts so I am often alone in the block. It doesn't actually bother me, being alone, as it means nobody is going to want me to cook for them or investigate why their electricity has fused (why me????)

It just worries me that actually I DO live in a decent neighbourhood, what is the rest of the country like?

bang bang goes teh rest of the coutry! just like here the north part of town you arent to care a hand gun where the Blue Street signs are thats where most of the shooting happen and we used to live there and I have to go thru it to get to sons house but I never am afraid to drive that way no use in it have to get there .

Well my neighbours actually come to me to sort things out lol. I don't get so alarmed because I can't hear what is going on, so I don't have that pressure.

We still have an unresolved murder around the corner so I am just being careful at the moment and not taking out the garbage at night and the plants in the greenhouse have to be watered while the sun is still shining, which is not ideal.

The ironic thing in this country regarding guns is that since they were made illegal and are tightly controlled and monitored, their use has spiralled out of control and there are more guns than ever there were before they made them illegal.

well you be very carefull of what ya do . and thankfull you have pretty good nieghbors.
Making guns iileagal is sort of dumb to me for even though we can own ours over here the crimunal people still get them with out regerstering them and they get ahold of the big guns makes no since to me and dont see why we have to register ours only thing it helps if one got stolen but they can file off the nos.

The trouble over here is that they are making hundreds of laws microsecting each aspect of a crime but they are not enforcing any of them. It is illegal to own an unlicenced gun, end of but there are kids as young as 8 running guns across the cities.

Then they fine ordinary working people if they put their rubbish out on the wrong day.

I am more worried that they are out there so often. I can't hear if anything is going on out there and I have been asking around, and this is becoming a regular event. Police, dogs etc.

Because he avoids the traffic my partner often arrives home in the early hours, comes in for a cup of tea and a rest then goes out and gets all his tools in out of the car as we like to keep them in the flat. We are insured but it would cost a lot of money to replace the tools, and after the activity out there we feel it is even more pressing to bring them in.

Actually it is quite a palaver trying to get everything in without making any noise and a pesky dog about two doors away usually manages to howl like a banshee at some point, no matter how quiet we try to be :-)
