French language or tae-kowan-do for my child ?  

My child's school include French language and tae-kowan-do ( a form of korean martial art sports ) as an optional subject in their achool curriculum from V standard .

I myself had preference for swiming but it is not offered .

Among these two i am undecided . I recognise importance of both but i have to choose between the two .

My child is too shy and fearful in outside of home particularly at school . He seems to be lacking in selfconficence because of his comparatively smaller physical stature. I think proficiency in martial art will raise his selfconfidence and courage .

On the other hand French is a valuable language internationally . It has good demand from career aspect also . I haveobserved my child haveing a good grasp of language rather than numerics. On this basis i hope him to do good in a foreign language and that may help him inhis career building .

SO both has their role in my child's future life .

Can you suggest me from your observation and experiences and knowledge which one to choose ?
