Are coffee prices causing you to change your brand?

I've noticed the price of Folger's has gone way up, so we switched to Yukon. Tastes pretty good, but not quite the same. Are you willing to sacrifice taste a little bit for a cheaper brand?

I sure noticed the increase. My husband only drinks Folger's and won't switch brands. He told me taste is very important and this is one product he wants me to pay more for it.

Several years back I switched from the pre-ground, packaged coffees like Folgers or Maxwell House for Starbucks beans. The taste was worth the extra cost. Starbucks prices for beans haven't changed much in the last few years. I guess it's only the "less expensive" coffees that are going up. Soon, they'll cost as much as Starbucks.
Taste is very important, though. I don't want a bitter tasting coffee. That's why I switched.

I don't about the 2 coffee joints you mentioned, but I do know that the cafe where I used to work at, the coffee is probably the most expensive you can find in Singapore. Anyway, it won't be long before the rest of the expensive coffee chains in Singapore, like Starbucks, Coffee Bean will catch up on the price pretty soon. And I definitely won't compromise taste and quality for price. At worst, I'll just drink less coffee and save more money instead.
