This is The Ant Nebula, a cloud of dust and gas whose technical name is Mz3, resembles an ant when observed using ground-based telescopes. The nebula lies within our galaxy between 3,000 and 6,000 light years from Earth. Thats really far away!!!

That is so far away, and it's amazing that we are able to see it because of technology. To me it looks like two jellyfish that are "umbrella to umbrella" with the tentacles flowing out in each direction. Such a gorgeous picture. Thanks for sharing it and the others hon.

Awesome information. It is very teeny tiny then, wow! Who knew? That really is far away.
