capability or academic qualification which is more important?

Nowadays too much importance is attached to paper qualifications and not enough to experience and capability.less and less jobs are hunted by more and more people, which makes those who don't have any qualifications stand little chance.
so is it really a degree certificate more important than experience?

i wander so much, learn, university, certificates, high school

I know a couple of people who went to univerity and yes they have certificates but I think while they were studying for them they didn't have time to learn any commonsense, I didn't even finish high school and i think in some ways I am so much smarter than these university educated people...sometimes education can just be a case of a good memory for what tou have read in books and a lot of it is of no help to you when you get out into the big wide world... happy
