Opening a Bar  |

 I am thinking of opening a bar in my neighborhood. I would love some feedback from everyone about what they look for in a sports bar. I am looking at going that route. Do you look for billiards, fooseball, pinball, or do you look for sports on big screens, beer, and snack foods? Or all of the previously mentioned? What time would you expect a sports bar to open? Would you expect a jukebox or just tv? Please help. I would love to hear everyone's opinion.

1.  sabrinam (711) | 4 years ago |  I think a sports bar is awesome, I like for them to have plasma screens, Pool Tables, the best drinks, and some pretty good munching foods, like nachos, personal size pizzas, etc. I would expect a sports bar to be open on the weekends around noon probably and during the week around 4 or 5 because you can even appeal to the happy hour crowd with that.
You know I think it would be cool to have a bar with a different kind of theme....not sure what though, just seems the sports bars are so popular...

I think it would be a great add to the community. I also want to make it family friendly that's part of why I considered a few video games and pinball machines. The kids would enjoy that and it's another good way nto generate income. | |

| 2. HandKH4602 (270) | 4 years ago |  I think a few Pool Tables, dart boards, a few TVs maybe a jukebox or someone to play DJ. ... You can be open from 11 to 2 for a lunch type crowd and 4 to midnight for an after work crowd. You can have 2 sections to it .... say left side with pool tables and jukebox and dart boards and SMALL tables or a bar against the wall, right side have bigger tables, TVs and an area in between with a small dance floor. Just an idea. If that confuses you I can draw what I'm talking about and scan it and post it, though I'm not sure if it'll be big enough though or I could email it to you.

with some snacks food, cool drinks, ice creams.
and jukebox for audio.
Timing will be full day with lunch hour, but peak hrs will be 3.00pm - 11.30 pm

6.  TrainsR4Me (217) | 4 years ago |  In a sports bar, besides the beer, you need a lot of big screen tv's for all the games. Its also nice to have a couple Pool Tables a couple really good pinballs and a dart board. Might not want a juke box cuz the guys will want to hear the game instead. A sports bar should open at 5 pm for the evening commute home and close early in the morning around 2-3am.

If it is a bar for people who like to play sports then you would have to make the snacks and drinks healthier than beer and roasted peanuts. I think a jukebox is always a good idea in any bar. You could also get hold of pictures of old sports persons or teams and put them in nice frames and put them on the wall as if you had a photoalbum on the wall.

| 8. Leonora (600) | 4 years ago |  I don't have most experience on this theme, because I don't know any bar like this on my own country, and I'm not a sport's lover, eheh.
However, I think that the best will be the big screens, beer (lots of beer!!) and snack food. No jukebox, only TV. The sound of the jukebox may interfere with the TV.
It should be open till late on night.
