What is your opinion of the 'made for Sci-fi' movies?

My husband and I disagree over the quality of the films, in terms of content. He thinks they're cheesy knock-offs, but I have seen some priceless moments!!

i don't watch sci-fi movies myself. but my husband does. he, like you,has enjoyed many of the made for sci-fi movies,and has even tried to buy a few. but he also doesn't like some of them, and calls them b rated movies. he has seen some priceless moments also, and he really enjoys those.

I agree that some of them are just re-hashings of other movies, but with the new computer graphics the monsters are more than guys in rubber suits, and there are many familiar faces from other series and movies showing up... it makes it fun!

Sci-fi is hot, not only in movies, but in books. Some of the movies on Sci-fi get turned off within 5 minutes, but I've seen some pretty good stuff. With more familiar actors taking part, Sci-fi is starting to get a better reputation - it's not just for has-beens or people starting out in the business. Actors are actually choosing parts in made-for Sci-fi movies.

The computer graphics are getting so much better and yes, they are really starting to attract bigger stars. There have been a few I walked away from, but the plots are improving... I'm curious to see what they have coming up! Thanks!
