For starters, clip coupons. I have gotten so much free merchandise lately just by doing this alone. I clip enough coupons to try all the neat stuff coming out, and at the same time it pays for my newpaper subscription. Lately, their have been having awesome rebate ads for foods you normally buy anyway. Also, if you have a favorite store that has a website, register on this website and for such things as your birthday or your children's birthday they send you 25-50% off coupons at their store. Even fast food restaurants give you coupons for free kids meals around their birthday time. Also, you get to know when they are having their awesome sales. For my kids, i always buy them a couple of outfits and misc gifts for their birthday. The coupon helps to save money when you are talking about big stores like Limited Too, JCPenny, and Old Navy. I also do comparison shopping from the sunday circular before i grocery shop. Especially with Walmart i can save at least $20 by them matching someone else prices. I thought at first it wasn't worth it, but all i really do is concentrate on the things and brands i buy all the time. Like Dawn, Tide, Huggies, and Dog Food. My husband also thinks i am crazy because he supports us on a budget where i really don't have to do all these things, but i say it like this. The more money i save the more i can do with otherwise. Like spending it on other things or other activities the kids enjoy doing. For example, gymnastic lessons, dance lessons, piano lessons and etc. I also like it because it lets people know that i am a organized person and i don't like just giving my money to retailers that just like raising prices for the fun of it. Please share your ideas of how you save money.
