My baby started Kindergarten today

When my son left home for college I cried like a baby. lol I guess we never stop missing our children or maybe even wanting them to stop growing. So many times i kept telling my boys to stop growing. It went by so fast. My baby is 20 years old. I can remember when he used to say yeyyow for yellow lol.I do have my memories and thats what keeps me going. Cherish your baby. Make her stop growing. lol

I feel your emotions. Kids get bigger so early that we are unable to catch them. It's good that they get independent but I always felt like kids should be kids but then after all they have to grow and be on their own. It doesn't mean that we won't be parents any more for no matter how old they are, they are still our kids. I congratulate you that your last one is finally able to fly and be independent.

My Mom had a hard time when I went to be a counsellor at summer camp let alone college and finally moving out on my own. My Dad had a hard time giving me away on my wedding day...and now I understand why!

My son starts Kindergarten on the 10th of September and even though he has attended pre-school for a year and a half now this is somehow different! My boy is also Autistic so there are extra fears for me but I am sure he will do fine if I do not loose my mind in the process!:) LOL

I tear up as I write this but I know we must let them go some time...I know I still need my Mom (I'm 29) so I am sure your daughter will always need you!:)

My son started Kindergarten today. He would have started last week but we were waiting for his bus assignment. He went to preschool last year on the bus, so he knows how to ride the bus (which is nice). It was so cute to see him eagerly holding onto his lunch bag and climbing on board. He sat in the same place he sat in preschool and let the driver buckle him into his seat. It was kind of sad to see him go so eagerly. But nice, too.

Aw hon, this is sweet...I wish you and your little girl all the best! hope she enjoys her time there and finds a nice atmosphere for learning and growin up...and im sure she will always need your help and require it..your always her mother after all. big hugs!

Oh Cyntrow sweety I know how you feel - my baby started school last year! It must be worse to see them off on a bus - we got to spend time with our kids in their class on their first morning - I was more upset than she was! Sending you lots of comforting hugs my dear friend - but just remember you are gaining a whole heap of freedom now! xxx
