The battery pack went out in my cordless phone about 3 months ago. I have been using an old phone with a long cord that I have to drag all over the apartment since then. Now, you might ask why I am doing this. I will tell you why. Try as I might, I could not get the stupid compartment that houses the batteries open. Rather than ask someone to do it, I resorted to the old phone. Well, I finally am tired of dragging the phone along everywhere I go so I am now in possession of the battery pack. I can hardly wait until Friday when I will go and buy replacement batteries.

Most cordless phones have rechargeable batteries, so was it a very old phone or the charging unit damaged? These are things to consider. Also stores like Office Max, Staples, Office Depot and even Walgreens often have sales on cordless phones and they are fairly cheap. You might find out that a new phone doesn't cost much more than a replacement battery and might even be cheaper. My cordless phone was free after a mail in rebate, just cost me the sales tax and the stamp.

My phone is probably about 2 years old, stealthy. I have gone through several over the past several years. It seem that it is hard to find the good ones. I used to have the kind with the back-up battery charger, but it finally went out on me.

That is so funny, I have been fighting with my cordless for over a week. It is staticy and the display is gone. I need to buy new ones, but forget every time I go. I have been running to the kitchen every time the phone rings to answer the one on the wall.

I remember using one like that. The cord always got tangled and I just wanted to throw it out the window. Thank goodness for cordless. So much easier and you can take it where ever you need to be..around the house that is...I am so glad you were able to figure it out..
