Have you ever seen Eddie Izzard live?

Sadly, I have never seen Eddie Izzard live, though I do have all of his DVD performances. I also seem to collect the movies that he's in. :) I'd really love to see his comedy act live, though.
If you have seen Eddie Izzard perform live, is it as good as the DVDs, or even better? (Or worse, though I doubt that!)

I've never been lucky enough to see hime live but, like you, have seen most of his stand-up on DVD. I've alwaya thought that he has been under-utilized in the movies he's appeared in. I missed the first couple of episodes of The Riches and will most likely rent the entire season DVD when it becomes available

I think I really need to watch The Riches one of these days. I think it's on HBO or some other channel that we don't have, though, so I'll use that as my excuse for now. :)

I haven't seen him live, but I love him. I have most of his standup shows on DVD. I'm also trying to get the movies he's in. I loved Mystery Men, even though it was ridiculous. I also tried watching The Riches as much as possible. I'm going to rent the season when it comes out and then try to get that on DVD too.

Mystery Men is so much fun, though, even for how ridiculous it is. :)
If you haven't seen Velvet Goldmine, you should check that out. He has a pretty substantial part in it, and, if you look closely, you also get to see a photo of him in really good drag. :)

OMG I WISH!! I love Eddie...he's just brilliantly hilarious and would kill to see him do live stand up...He was in Cleveland a couple yrs ago and my niece, her mum and a couple friends got to go see the show and meet him afterwards but I couldnt make it and damn i was totally bummed :-(
